A view from one of our favorite spots on one of our favorite trails in the Red River Gorge:



Below are the only known pictures that are left showing Don Jessup loading bombs on the A-26 in the war in 1967-8 at the age of 18 while serving in the 609th Air Commando Squadron in NKP, Thailand (kept and kindly supplied by an ex-girlfriend).

The pictures, in order, are:
Don inside the bombay loaded with fragmentation bombs
Don on a wing overlooking the damage and repair to a plane from enemy shrapnel & gunfire (see the holes)
Don loading some bombs on the PSP (pressed-steel-plating) runway

Below that shows Don's unit patches, in order, with date of inceptions, are:
609th Air Commando Squadron (1967-68)
609th Special Operations Squadron (1968)
56th Air Commando Wing
