Pi Pharma, Inc. dba Nature's Extra manufactures dietary supplements and specialty cosmetic skin products. Products are available for the retail and wholesale markets. We also perform contract manufacturing for other companies to produce, package, and even order fulfillment for their products.
Nature’s Extra is a national manufacturing and distribution plant centrally located near the Red River Gorge in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Drawing from our natural surroundings, we specialize in developing natural formula’s that cater to those with chemical sensitivities to smooth away uncomfortable dry skin and bring out beautiful nourished skin.
We pride our success on the quality of our products and customer safety. While we strive to provide natural ingredients and more sustainable formulas, our first focus is on ensuring safety and efficacy in all that we do. In some cases, we may need to use non-natural alternatives to ensure our products meet the highest quality and safety standards, especially when it comes to preserving our products or providing the most effective protection.

You might wonder how we named our company Pi -- see Pi Pharma Philosophy.
We are located in the Valeria area, in Wolfe County, about 12 miles from Campton (our County Seat), in Eastern Kentucky. Pi Pharma and staff enjoy nature and the lifestyle that is associated with this area of the country. The people here are friendly, religious, patriotic, and will do anything to help their neighbors.
The local area includes Daniel Boone National Forest, Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Sky Bridge, etc. Red River is less than 1 mile walking from our location. The Red is the eastern side of the Daniel Boone National Wilderness Area. The Wilderness Area is a non-tourist area without trails designated to remain natural and restricted from human development. So, our location is naturally beautiful and a lot of wildlife.
As to the Gorge, we are about 3.5 miles (as the eagle flies) due East of Sky Bridge Arch and about 5 miles from Chimney Top Rock (THE most popular site in the Daniel Boone National Forest). This whole area provides the best hiking, unusual views of geology and nature (cliffs, arches, varied forestry and plant-life, and wildlife), as well as being one of the top places in the world for rock climbing the tall cliffs.
Wolfe County was the 13th poorest county in the country when we moved our business here in 1995. Life can be difficult but rewarding.
Lexington, our largest "nearest" big city, is about 90 miles away and has been voted (by AARP members) as having the best weather in the country if you want all four seasons. And, Lexington, Kentucky IS the horse capital of the world!

We started our company in 1990 in Indianapolis, Indiana as Polyionics Incorporated dba The Nutrition Farm, moved to Kentucky in 1995, and in mid-2007 we became Pi Pharma, Inc. dba Nature's Extra. The customers who knew us then know us now. Same location for 22 years and really loving the local people (which are our employees!), our neighbors (also employees!), and being here in Eastern Kentucky, the most beautiful place in America and on Earth!
